I chose Australia Sydney as the country of choice for the Olympics as I wanted to highlight its incredible bounty of jaw-dropping natural wonders and wildlife.
In the 2000 Sydney Olympics the pictograms were simple and thoughtful. Using the shape of a boomerang (object originated from Australia. So I decided to highlight a different known aspects of Australia its nature by constructing leaf-like pictograms which were not done anywhere before in the Olympics, with blunt corners inspired from kangaroo structure and ears. As its held in Sydney I took some inspiration from the sharp built of the opera house as well.
